Hawaii Food & Water Testing Remains Operational

Aloha Customers and Clients of Hawaii Food & Water Testing,

As you are all aware, Governor Ige has issued a Supplementary Proclamation “Statewide Stay at Home Order”, effective on March 25, 2020 at 12:01a. Hawaii Food & Water Testing is an essential business and will remain open in order to provide essential services and support to maintain food and water safety, and compliance with legally mandated activities.

We at Hawaii Food & Water Testing are committed to following the Emergency Order to the extent the definitions and exemptions apply to our business. More importantly we are committed to the health and safety of our team, our families and our clients.

Beginning Monday March 23rd , we have new protocol incorporating the key tenants of the Order and related Orders issued by other Federal, State and County officials. This impacts how we intake samples, receive chain of custody forms and interact with you, our clients. We ask you to be patient as we all work to keep to the Social Distancing Requirement of six feet. As the situation is fluid, further best practices and guidelines will be issued on our website, www.hfwt.com as well as posted at our entrance.

Honolulu Drop Off Customers:

  1. **Please complete your chain of custody prior to entering the facility.
  2. Unpack and place your samples on the stainless steel counter or cart.
  3. HFWT will not unpack or handle your samples until you have signed your COC and stepped back 6 feet.
  4. Please verbally announce how many sample bottles or supplies you will need and wait by the front door for our analysts to place them on the stainless steel counter.

Outer Island Cargo Drop Off Customers:

The Honolulu cargo offices for both Aloha and Hawaiian are our highest potential for our crew to cross with others during this time of essential operations. We are awaiting updates and changes in both carriers' protocol and will modify our schedule and handling accordingly. We are taking extra precautions at this point as we do have members of our staff caring for their Kupuna.

If your business will be impacted, slowed or will be on temporary pause due to the changes and Orders related to the State and your County of jurisdiction, please to the extent possible let us know.

We are all in this together and will adapt as we go.

Mahalo,
